LIVERMORE, Calif. — The Texas A&M University System has selected ProctorU, the largest provider of online proctoring in the world, to provide online proctoring and identity management services to its 11 member institutions.
“ProctorU is proud to add the Texas A&M University System to our growing list of partners,” ProctorU co-founder and Chief Strategy Officer Jarrod Morgan said. “This is an exemplary group of institutions and we look forward to working hard every day to help elevate the level of academic integrity at all 11 schools.”
One of the largest systems of higher education in the United States, the Texas A&M University System educates more than 140,000 students and features 11 universities, seven state agencies and a comprehensive health science center.
ProctorU provides live student identity management and proctoring services to make online testing more secure. Its unique service will allow these institutions to securely identify and allow its students to take their exams in the comfort of their homes.
Member schools will also have the option of using ProctorU’s authentication-only service, Ucard. Ucard is an online student authentication service based on the traditional school ID card. Ucard employs a multi-layered process to check and verify a student’s identity in a matter of minutes. A live proctor sees the student and checks their government-issued ID with a webcam.
Since it was established in 2008, ProctorU has worked with more than 900 colleges and universities around the world and has administered over 2.5 million exams for test-takers in 129 countries. Their unique approach to proctoring enhances the online testing experience while ensuring the academic integrity of an institution and that of its students.
