HOOVER, ALA. — Today, ProctorU received the Employer of the Year – Small Business award from the Alabama Governor’s Committee for the Employment of People with Disabilities (AGCEPD).
The AGCEPD is a program of the Alabama Department of Rehabilitation Services (ADRS) aimed at educating the public on the benefits of hiring employees with disabilities and promoting greater independence for people with disabilities.
“ProctorU works hard to ensure the success of every employee,” Renee Marlow, ProctorU’s human resources manager, said, “so we are honored and thrilled to be nominated for this award. We strive to provide access to all the resources and tools our employees need to achieve success, especially when overcoming certain limitations.”
The AGCEPD’s website describes the Employer of the Year – Small Business award as a “public recognition of a small business that has shown outstanding outreach, initiative, and performance in employment of people with disabilities.”
The award was presented at a private luncheon on Friday, Oct. 28 at the Hoover Country Club as part of the October observance of National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM).
